Returning Students
Most students who complete the First Year program return at least one more summer (often several) to produce an entire Shakespeare play. Committing up to 180 hours over a period of 10 – 11 weeks, students rehearse and perform in a full-length Shakespeare play, opening at the Seattle Outdoor Theatre Festival and touring to public venues both indoors and out. These are fully produced, professionally directed and costumed productions which often include live music.
Alumni
Many alumni return to assist with summer production needs or to work as assistants, teaching artists, or specialty advisors in classes and rehearsals. Alumni often bring new skills and knowledge back from their respective studies (at e.g. Juilliard, Cal Arts, Brown, NYU, Brandeis, Hunter, Sarah Lawrence, University of Chicago, University of Washington, Seattle University, Cornish, Western, Marlboro, University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown, London University, Indiana University School of Music, etc) or professional experience.
